10 reasons for Declining a job offer!

I have attended many interviews these days both in consultancies and few companies too.
For customer support, i'm over qualified :P
And for tech support, the competition is very high with flooding number of BE/Btech graduates everywhere.
And at this point of time, when i'm planning for a job desperately, i declined an offer from a startup firm.

Here's how it went on.
On the last saturday, i travelled 90minutes to reach a newly established company Rafter Info Systems. Inspite of my serious efforts to find a job, i declined the offer for many reasons.

1. 8k is the salary. I expect a 5digit salary. I h counave this strange way of counting in dollars though i have no dreams of greener pastures. may be this is because all my online transactions and works are done in $$. The pay is less than $200 and it looked so absurd to work for such amount all the month. Hardly it is my 2weeks earnings at the comfort of my home and PC.

2. No travel facility. Travelling 90minutes by bus is ridiculous.

3. No incentives or bonuses.

4. 6days a week work - Not 5days a week.

5. Upto 10hrs a day work. No fixed shit timing. We should be available there at the drop of a call.

6. A newly established call center by an individual. Didn't start it's operations yet.

7. Just less than 1k Sq. feet offfice with 2 a/c s and 13 computers hardly.

8. I was asked to keep all my original certificates with them for atleast a period of 6months.

9. I'm planning to build a career not just a job.

10. The best reason among all, i find myself in the shoes of that employer - Launching a similar firm in 5years down the line. I'm worth more than $200 a month for the amount of work i need to do there. This is because i know the industry standards, how much they earn on outsourcing processes and the inner business secrets. This is a strong reason for which i felt as if being ripped off. Ofcourse i might do the same as an executive, but as a jobseeker, i couldn't digest the fact of me working for few little bucks all the day/night. There's always a entrepreneur within me. I cannot think of leading my life as the same tech support executive even after 10years of my life.
May be i'm of this kind and thought some other person should deserve this job. I cannot do justification to it even if i accept the offer.

Brandname and Salary are my keypoints in dropping this offer. I can compromise on one of them. But not both. Lack of transport facility and shift timings added up. The contradictory fact is that i love start-ups 'cos i get a chance to grow along with the company.

PS: After seeing the interviewer (owner) and infrastructure, my aim of landing up my own firm got just stronger ;)

What next?
