Assurgent Technologies Scam

Here comes Assurgent Technologies Scam!
My 1 lakh rupees are stronger! :) I didn't lose it for the Assurgent Techno, Kolkatta.
Last year i got placed in Assurgent technologies through campus interview. I was asked to pay INR 100,000 to them as a security deposit. I was reluctant and didn't dare to deposit that money and thus forfeited the job offer. And now, the company is no more. They ran off!
Their websites are closed. Their office is vacant. Police case filed against them.

Here is some info about the company

Established in 2005 as a Pvt. Ltd. Company and Registered under Government of India Company Act (ROC) by the shareholding pattern. This is purely a Software Development, Sales Management and KPO Company in collaboration of PMS AG a world leader and SZ Vermessung, Switzerland, an European Service Provider for measurement and engineering software tools.

And now, they ran off! Ran off with crores of money overnight.

Exactly an year ago, i decided to check the company info and gather some information whether to trust this company or not. In that attempt, i and Nitin went to Madhapur - where the office is located. Found few of my friends of other department and other colleges there with a 1lakh rupee DD in their hand, certificates and formal wears. They were suprsied seeing me in a funky T-shirt. i said i'm not going to pay and have come there jus to checkout around.

First things first - Facts i noticed on my visit!
1. It's a 2 storied small building. (As big as my house)
2. The building is for personal use and later converted to commercial pupose. Thus it has a hall, double bedroom and a kitchen. lolz :D
3. Few chairs outside and an irresponsible watchman.
4. No proper checking of the certificates. They are much more concentrated on collecting the DDs rather verifying other proofs.
5. The offer letter is not on a letter head.
6. Only two people in the office, that too on a working day!
7. I really found it hard to locate the office building. Asked 10s of people arounf to find the company, but none knew that such company exists in their premises!
8. It is a rented building.
9. A laid down flex title board "Asurgent Technologies" reclined to the wall at entrance.

Isn't that list enough for me and Nitin to come to a conclusion and Vrrooommm back on our RX100 from there :D

Global crisis has hit down one more software company.
One may point out to GM or Lehman Bros. But guys, they didn't run away with our money.
And it isn't the same case either. They have an history of a century. Not an year or two.
